Agüero is a research project that revolves around the different ways in which we approach what is understood by The Mystery. Which is reflected in science, popular, religious and / or personal beliefs.

The project is divided into two parts: creating an archive through ethnographic research and exposing the result as a multidisciplinary installation. A very important component is your "roaming"; I am interested in doing both parts in different countries in order to increase the knowledge file that the project implies.

Thus, Agüero's production as a multidisciplinary art project tends to end as a traveling exhibition, which in the course of research and creation will completely define its content and organization. By manipulating the pieces and their growth to the rhythm of their roaming, the project will generate in the viewer an aesthetic experience that confronts them with their beliefs and with those of others. One of the interests behind the project is to create a kind of reflection of the internal world of the greatest number of people and their uncertainties.

Agüero's discursive and technical approach comes from some reflections and questions: Do the objects in which we deposit beliefs acquire their own strength or is it simply the power of the fetish? Does the quantum mind-matter relationship go beyond what has been done so far understandable? Where does the power of a belief reside, in the depository object of superstition or in the subject that believes? In both but in different ways and / or with different strength? What experience will a person have when facing conflicting beliefs, of good and bad fortune gathered? Does the strength of a belief come from the "focus" that it generates every time we think about it? Is it possible to find a typology of beliefs? Is the substance of the beliefs measurable or given the subjectivity that concerns them, is it only possible to confront them on a personal level?

One of the many motivations of this project is to try to sketch the current situation based on what we believe. What we think credible or implausible says a lot about the state of our imagination, about what we can accept as possible. At least in Mexico we accept a large number of extremely implausible situations and we have a hard time realizing it.

Currently the project has been carried out in the central area of the Balkans: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia (with the support of the Jalisco State Secretariat for Culture, CIIDAT and the residence "Creative Cradle" both in Slovenia) and in the Mexico City (with the support of the cultural residence at "Casa Vecina"). For now, research is being carried out in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. From the work previously carried out, new questions and observations have been generated, which have been incorporated into the final result.
